Idun is a goddess who belongs to the Aesir tribe of deities. Idun is one of the most prominent goddesses in Norse mythology. She’s the keeper of mysterious fruits eaten by the gods, which enable them to retain their youth and ward off the process of aging. Idun is the wife of Asgard’s court poet and minstrel, Bragi. One Old Norse poem has Loki accuse her of sleeping with her brother’s murderer, but the identities of her brother and his slayer are unknown, and no tale explaining this accusation has survived into the modern era.
